About me
I'm Michaela. And your hair interests me before the scissors do
I have been doing hair since 2018 and I enjoy it as much as on day one. Maybe more. This page covers three things: me, the cosmetics I work with, and the salon where you'll find me.
It fascinates me how a healthy lifestyle, movement and mindful self-care show in your hair, your skin and the way you carry yourself.
Every head of hair is different, every person has their own story - and I get to be a small part of it. That is what keeps me in this work.
When I started out, my goal was to do quality work and to master modern techniques. Over time I understood that it doesn't work without a proper consultation and diagnosis. You have to listen to the hair, to what the person needs and to what their routine actually looks like. The best cut isn't the trendiest one, but the one that suits your face and your mornings.
That is why we always start with a consultation. We talk about what bothers you, what you would like to change and how much time you really have for styling in the morning. Only then do we start working on hair that looks great not just in the salon, but at home too.
My philosophy
Three things I insist on
A healthy scalp comes first
Beautiful hair is first of all a healthy scalp and healthy lengths. That is why I choose products carefully - I work with Italian Davines, because they have to be gentle, effective and ideally ecological. Chemistry has its place, but it should help, not damage.
Communication is the foundation
The worst thing that can happen is that you leave with a style you didn't want. So we always talk about what you expect, what is realistic and how you will care for your hair at home. The consultation is free as part of your visit and takes about thirty minutes - including a diagnosis of the scalp and the lengths.
I keep learning
Trends change, techniques improve, products evolve. That is why I attend training regularly and follow what is happening in hairdressing.
Training and courses
What I have behind me
In this trade both trends and techniques keep moving. This is a list of what I have genuinely completed - not a collection of badges.
Qualified hairstylist with a school-leaving exam
Working since 2018. Since 2025 I have been cutting at the Honka Hair salon in the centre of Pilsen.
Colouring and lightening
Modern colouring techniques - balayage, ombré, highlights - working with gentle colours and correcting problematic colour jobs.
Ecological cosmetics
Natural and ecological hair care products, what they do and how to use them properly.
Regenerative treatments
Deep regeneration of hair and scalp, detox scalp treatments and work with damaged hair.
Bridal and occasion hairstyles
Creating bridal and occasion hairstyles, working with accessories and hair ornaments.
Training never ends. I regularly attend seminars and workshops so that I can offer you the best of what hairdressing can do.
What I work with
Davines - Italian beauty that cares about the planet
Sustainable hair care from Parma that I trust and work with in the salon
When people think of Italian cosmetics, most imagine elegance, design and attention to detail. Davines delivers all of that - and adds something still rare in the beauty world: genuine sustainability, not just a marketing claim. That is exactly why I work with it too.
Where it comes from
A family story from Parma
Davines. Made in Parma, carbon neutral, since 1983.
It all began in 1983 in Parma, Italy, where Gianni and Silvana Bollati founded a small research laboratory. At first they developed and produced hair care for other established cosmetic brands. After ten years of experience they decided they no longer wanted to stay in the background - and in 1993 the first products under the Davines brand appeared on the market, intended exclusively for professional hair salons.
The brand name itself is a lovely detail: Davines was created by combining the names of the founders' children - son Davide and daughter Stefania. Davide Bollati, a trained pharmacist and cosmetic chemist, leads the company today as president, and under his guidance the small family laboratory has grown into an international company operating in more than 90 countries. Yet Davines remains a family business - independent, with its own production and clear values.
And one practical detail: the brand name is correctly pronounced “da-VEE-nes”.
Sustainability, not a label
Philosophy: beauty and sustainability belong together
The Davines motto is “Sustainable Beauty”. It is not an empty phrase. The brand believes that balance between beauty and responsibility towards the planet can improve life for all of us. In practice this means:
B Corp certification
since 2016 Davines has been a certified B Corporation - a company that demonstrably meets the strictest international standards of social and environmental responsibility. In the beauty industry this is still an exception.
Davines Village
since 2018 the company has been based in a unique complex on the outskirts of Parma. A glass building surrounded by greenery, a scientific botanical garden, laboratories, production and a company bistro - all powered by 100% renewable energy. The entire headquarters, branches and production operate carbon neutrally.
Regenerative agriculture
in 2021 Davines, in collaboration with the American Rodale Institute, founded the European Regenerative Organic Center (EROC), a research centre right next to Davines Village. It studies ways of growing ingredients that give more back to the soil than they take - supporting biodiversity and soil health.
Slow Food partnership
products in the Essential Haircare line contain active ingredients from small Italian farms involved in the Slow Food Presidia project, which protects traditional and often endangered crops. Over the years the formulas have featured fiaschetto tomatoes from Brindisi, capers from the island of Salina and lentils from Villalba. Every purchase supports specific family farmers and helps preserve rare varieties.
Thoughtful packaging
minimalist design, recycled and bio-based plastics, refillable options, solid shampoos in paper packaging. Thanks to a partnership with Plastic Bank, the brand also contributes to collecting plastic waste from the environment in Indonesia, the Philippines, Brazil and Thailand.
All products are created in Parma - from formula through production to packaging. Davines is one hundred percent Made in Italy.
The ranges
What Davines offers: an overview of the lines
Davines has nine core families plus several specialised lines. Each one solves something different, so the care can be put together for the hair in front of me.
Essential Haircare - everyday care for everyone
The brand's flagship. Nine product “families”, each named with a short, easy-to-remember name based on its function:
- DEDE
- gentle everyday care for all hair types
- NOUNOU
- nourishment for damaged and chemically treated hair
- MOMO
- hydration for dry and dehydrated hair
- MELU
- anti-breakage protection for long and fragile hair
- MINU
- colour protection and shine for coloured hair
- VOLU
- volume for fine and limp hair
- SOLU
- deep cleansing for hair weighed down by styling
- LOVE Smoothing
- smoothing for frizzy and unruly hair
- LOVE Curl
- definition and hydration for wavy and curly hair
- OI - the brand icon
- A luxurious line for all hair types built on roucou oil from the Amazonian shrub Bixa orellana, rich in beta-carotene and natural antioxidants. OI means softness, shine and a fragrance you can recognise across the room.
- Naturaltech - scalp care
- A professional “treatment room” for the scalp and specific concerns: hair loss, dandruff, oily scalp, sensitive scalp, loss of density. The line combines plant-based active ingredients with a scientific approach - exactly in the spirit of the brand's motto about balancing nature and science.
- Alchemic - colour between salon visits
- Pigmented shampoos, conditioners and masks that revive and maintain the shade of coloured and natural hair - from cool blonde through copper and red to chocolate. A great helper for extending the effect of colouring at home.
- Heart of Glass - for blondes
- A line dedicated to blonde hair: it neutralises unwanted yellow tones, strengthens hair stressed by lightening and gives it a glass-like shine.
- This Is - styling made easy
- A complete styling range from sea salt sprays through texturising powders to hairsprays and oils. The products are designed to be layered and combined - styling should be play, not science.
- SU - sun protection
- A summer line protecting hair and skin from the sun, salt water and chlorine.
What works best
What sells the most
- OI All In One Milk
- The brand's best-selling product. A leave-in milk spray that does almost everything at once: detangles, hydrates, tames frizz, protects from heat when blow-drying and straightening, and gives hair a silky shine. All without weighing hair down, so it works on fine hair too.
- OI Shampoo & OI Conditioner
- Gentle cleansing and care with roucou oil for all hair types. A creamy texture, rich foam, and hair that is soft and shiny after washing. A duo for anyone who wants one reliable “does-it-all” shampoo.
- NOUNOU Mask
- A rescue for damaged hair. A rich nourishing mask that brings life back to hair stressed by colouring, bleaching or perms. After a few uses hair is visibly stronger, more supple and easier to comb.
- LOVE Smoothing Shampoo & Conditioner
- For frizzy and unruly hair. It smooths, softens and disciplines the hair without weighing it down. And clients remember the scent.
- MELU Hair Shield
- A thermal protection spray from the anti-breakage line. If you regularly blow-dry or straighten your hair, this is the insurance that protects lengths and ends from heat damage.
- This Is A Sea Salt Spray
- A cult styling product for an effortless beachy look. It gives hair texture, volume and a matte finish - waves like after a day at the sea, whenever you want.
- This Is A Dry Texturizer
- A dry texturising spray that instantly adds volume, fullness and “shape” even to the finest hair. A favourite hairdressers' trick for styles that last.
- Alchemic Silver Shampoo
- A silver shampoo with violet pigments that neutralises yellow tones and keeps cool blonde or grey hair beautifully clean and radiant.

Why I work with Davines
Four reasons Davines stayed on my shelf:

- smells good - the scent is still there the next day,
- doesn't weigh on your conscience - behind every product there is a family business, renewable energy, carbon-neutral production and Italian farmers,
- is beautiful - minimalist bottle design that looks great in the salon and in your bathroom.

Where I work
Why Honka Hair
Honka Hair salon was founded by Jiří Honka in 2011. He has a clear vision - eco-friendly approach, quality products, and an atmosphere where you feel good. Exactly what suits me.
I started working here in 2025. I was looking for a place where I could work the way I want - with products I trust and an approach that makes sense. Honka Hair delivers.
I like the green plants here - they're not just flowers on a windowsill, but a proper jungle that purifies the air and creates a pleasant atmosphere. And then we have full-spectrum lighting from NASLI. It might sound like a technical detail, but when you see colors exactly as they should look, you appreciate it. Your eyes too.
Good coffee awaits you in the salon - specialty beans, as it should be. Because a visit to the hairdresser isn't a sprint. It's a moment to pause, have coffee, and chat.

- Honka Hair is an eco-friendly salon and I support that. I use products that don't harm hair or the planet. It can be combined.
- Proper Lighting

- Lots of Greenery

- Every visit starts with a consultation. We'll talk about what you need and find a solution. No fees, no sales pressure.

The Honka Hair salon is run by Jiří Honka, a former Davines trainer. Hair Mishell is my own brand - the salon is the place where I work.
